Codes of Conduct
During the Biofach 2009 the initiative presented the two codes of conduct to the international organic audiency. Both the certifiers and the trading and processing companies have worked out their Code of Conduct to assure organic integrity and quality throughout the whole chain.
Code of Good Organic Practice
The 7 main principles of the Code of Good Organic Practice are: social responsibility, involvement, sustainable pricing and relationships, transparancy, open communication, harmonized system and quality management.

The Code of Good Organic Practice is communicated to the whole organic food chain in order to invite all operators to work according to these objectives. The Code of Good Organic Practice is supported by the processing and trading associations AOEL/Germany, Organic Finland, Probila/Belgium, Synabio/France and VBP/ The Netherlands, as well as by up to 50 individual organic processing and trading companies. Code of Conduct for Certification Bodies
The 6 principles of the Code of Conduct for certification bodies are: fairness, harmonization, management of clients, qualification, information and quality assurance. Together with the signatories the EOCC is actively involved in further development.
